Born in Long Island, New York to proud Guyanese parents, Natasha Shakur is no stranger to resilience and strength. After graduation, Natasha entered the fertility space and has cultivated a passion for educating and helping others. As a bubbly and caring individual, Natasha has always had a natural gift for connecting with people, which led her to pursue a career that allows her to help others on deeply personal levels.

Natasha’s journey into fertility began when she applied to a fertility clinic as a prior authorization specialist, then

excelling into becoming a finance coordinator, despite being unfamiliar with the industry. During her early years in the fertility space, she learned more about the small niche space that impacts so many. However, after experiencing her own significant life changes, Natasha decided to go nursing school and re-enter the fertility world equipped with more knowledge to better help the clients she had grown close to over the years.

In 2024, Natasha realized that there was an existing gap online for those interested in taking care of their fertility health that she could step into. From there, her fertility coaching business was born—@Fertility411. Fertility411 is more than just a social media page, it’s a growing platform that offers practical advice, busts myths, and provides a safe space for people to ask questions about their fertility.

A unique aspect of Natasha’s work is her dedication to breaking taboos within the West Indian community, where fertility is often a sensitive topic. With older generations asking, “When yuh having chirren?” and fertility issues being shrouded in whispers, Natasha is on a mission to normalize these conversations. Through her social media content, she addresses topics such as egg freezing, sperm health, and the menstrual cycle, highlighting that fertility is about overall health—not just having children.

Natasha’s empathetic approach offers hope and reassurance, creating a community where people feel seen and heard. She advocates for her clients to ask questions, have fertility check ups through ultrasound and bloodwork, and choose clinics that prioritize compassion over profit.

Natasha’s passion for advocacy stems from her professional experience and her own personal journey. Having undergone two egg freezing cycles herself, she knows firsthand the emotional and physical challenges of planning for future fertility. She describes the process as an “insurance policy” for women who may not yet be ready to have children but want to preserve their options. Natasha is candid about her experience, often sharing how she navigated conversations with older relatives and peers who didn’t understand her choice.

In the spirit of the season, @Fertility411 has partnered with Sher Fertility to give away an egg-freezing cycle. This giveaway underscores Natasha’s commitment to making fertility more accessible. Eligibility conditions apply—More details can be found here: Giveaway Terms and Conditions

I highly recommend you give Natasha a follow; Her contagious personality with her simple explanations has helped me better understand my own fertility health. As a woman who has experienced miscarriage and has two children of my own, I thought I didn’t need to care about fertility anymore but I’m learning that fertility health doesn’t end when I’m done having children. It follows me as I make contraceptive decisions, approach perimenopause and think about my future health. All health is wellness and we should think about all aspects of our bodies.

Through Fertility411, Natasha Shakur continues to inspire and educate, proving that fertility health is not just about starting a family - it’s a vital part of holistic wellness.
